It sits enthroned above the idyllic Weißsee lake, in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, and is surrounded by 22 mountain peaks and numerous glaciers. During the 20-minute ascent by gondola (daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.), you'll climb 835 meters in altitude – making the journey itself an unforgettable experience! Enjoy the tranquility and the surrounding nature in its purest form.
  The Weißsee Glacier World reveals a high-alpine holiday world that invites young and old to unforgettable tours: Hikers will find numerous trails around the middle station at Grünsee, at Weißsee lake directly next to the mountain hotel, or at the Medelz viewing plateau, with its magnificent panorama extending all the way to the famous Dorfertal valley and Kals am Großglockner. Hikers can expect more than 40km of marked hiking trails up to almost 3,000m altitude, and mountain professionals can look forward to varied, guided glacier tours.
