Description
The Lobkowitz Palace is one of the oldest Baroque city palaces. It boasts a fascinating history and was long owned by the art-loving Lobkowitz family. The Baroque architecture makes a magnificent impression upon entering the building. At the heart of the palace lies the splendid Eroica Hall, where Ludwig van Beethoven himself premiered his Symphony No. 3 in 1804, among numerous other works. The palace regularly hosts concerts, events, and special exhibitions and houses the extensive collections of the Theatre Museum.
The ticket includes the self-guided audio tour and admission to the special exhibitions.

From November 5, 2026, Palais Lobkowitz invites you to a new, exciting exhibition. The centerpiece is the visionary masterpiece Nuda Veritas. This painting is Gustav Klimt's clear statement for artistic freedom and marks his bold break with the conventions of the time. Visitors can expect a tour that brings this artistic heroic story to life: The tour begins with a journey to Vienna around 1900, where they will see Klimt's original Lady with a Purple Scarf, presented for the first time at Palais Lobkowitz. In the main hall, a film recounts Klimt's transformation – from celebrated court painter to uncompromising visionary. The highlight is the unveiling of Nuda Veritas. This moment makes the power of this work immediately palpable, as Klimt directly defies the expectations of patrons, the public, and the art establishment.
