Description
Experience the Mannerist work of art with the castle, park and the unique water features - one of the most popular (family) sights in Salzburg. The magnificent country estate of Prince Archbishop Markus Sittikus was built between 1612 and 1615.
“SchauLust – The unexpected world of Markus Sittikus”
The interactive permanent exhibition appeals to all your senses. You can experience the multimedia installation for the carnival of 1618, the music room with sheet music from Monteverdi's opera L'Orfeo, the interactive revolving sofa, the replica of a historical globe from 1613, the room of transience and the larger-than-life unicorn.
Expect the unexpected
The crowd-puller of Hellbrunn are the water games: water machines, grottos, fountains and water-powered gadgets - unique in the world in terms of shape and variety. Above all, one thing awaits you: a refreshing treat for young and old. It sprays from all the nozzles and pipes, it splashes, it runs and sometimes it even makes you wet. Moments of surprise guaranteed!
