The ALBERTINA MODERN is one of the largest museums for modern and contemporary art. On over 2,000 square meters the ALBERTINA MODERN presents comprehensive exhibitions of modern and contemporary Art, consisting of the own painting collection and above all, major works of theEssl collection home to ALBERTINA Museum since 2017.
For his 70th birthday: the big Erwin Wurm retrospective

Erwin Wurm will be seen in the ALBERTINA MODERN on the occasion of his 70th birthday. For the first time, ALBERTINA is dedicating a comprehensive retrospective to the Austrian artist, ranging from his earliest works to previously unpublished works of art. Wurm, an artist of our time, deals with the neuroses of our era, be it physical pathologies such as anorexia or obesity through to the criticism of social norms.
