At the traditional Viennese Christmas market, Christmas tree decorations, toys and numerous other Christmas gifts are offered in stands decorated for Christmas. In general, Vienna offers an enormous range of art and culture and of course a visit to St. Stephen's Cathedral, Schönbrunn Palace and one of the many Viennese coffee houses should not be missed. Enjoy the pre-Christmas period, let yourself be pampered! Experience contemplation and lived tradition on a short break in a class of its own. The highlight of the trip is a ride on the historic luxury train to Schloss Hof.

Itinerary
Day 1:
Flight from Dusseldorf to Vienna. You will be met at the airport and accompanied to the bus. Gain a first impression of the historical sights of Vienna during the joint city tour. End at the hotel and room check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Our tip: Take the U1 to the Praterstern stop. Enjoy a special kind of Christmas market in the Prater and ride the famous Ferris wheel, for example, this is also a great experience in winter.

Day 2:
Enjoy the breakfast buffet. You will then be picked up from the hotel and driven to the Vienna train station. There you board the imperial luxury train “Majestic Imperator”. Travel through Lower Austria on a luxury train, just like in the days of the Emperor. You will be greeted on board with a welcome champagne and during the journey to the gates of Hof Castle you can enjoy a small snack (table drinks included). Short bus ride to the castle. Once there, you will get to know many facets of the impressive castle as part of a castle tour. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the Baroque and let yourself be touched by the beauty of Prince Eugene's country estate in the Marchfeld! Afterwards you can explore the magical Christmas market on the Schlossplatz on your own. At the end of the day, a Christmas concert awaits you in the ballroom. In the evening we return to Vienna by train. The Majestic Train bids you farewell with a 2-course evening meal. This way you can also enjoy culinary delights on the return trip. After arriving at the train station in Vienna, let the evening end in a relaxed manner in the city. Return to the hotel on your own. Note: Organized day trip by Majestic De Luxe GmbH, no tour guide from/to the hotel.

Day 3:
Rich breakfast buffet. Our experienced tour guide will then welcome you to the first themed tour "Hidden jewels around St. Stephen's Cathedral". You can then look behind the scenes of the famous Augarten Manufactory * and also admire the "white gold" in the museum. The rest of the day can be used as freetime. Discover Vienna in its wintry splendor and stroll through the alleys of the historic old town. Tip for spending your free time: A visit to the "Zwölf Apostelkeller" should not be missed on your trip to Vienna. Discover typical Viennese hospitality in the more than 800-year-old vaulted cellar. We recommend making a table reservation in advance. If you consume a meal (payable on site), the first 1/8 liter of wine is on the house.

Day 4:
Enjoy the breakfast buffet. Our guide will welcome you in the morning for the second themed tour “Around the Hofburg”. You will then learn how Austrian coffee specialties are prepared in Café Frauenhuber *. A coffee snack with a piece of cake and a hot drink is included. The rest of the day is free to explore on your own. How about a visit to a museum? Visit the Mozarthaus Vienna, the Jewish Museum or the House of Music and pay only half the admission price with our voucher.

Day 5:
Enjoy the breakfast buffet. Afterwards free time. Please note that you must vacate your room in the morning (check-out). Use the remaining time for your Christmas shopping and get the presents for your loved ones at home. We recommend a visit to the famous Viennese candy workshop*. Here, creative sweets are made by hand according to old traditional recipes. With our voucher you will receive a jar of handmade Christmas sweets for free. For the return transfer, you will be picked up from the hotel in good time before your departure and driven to the airport. Return flight from Vienna to Dusseldorf.

You will be accommodated in the Arcotel Donauzentrum ****
The ARCOTEL Donauzentrum Wien opened in August 2017 and is located directly opposite the Kagran underground station (line U1), only a 10-minute drive from the city center. The hotel is part of Vienna's largest shopping center, the Donauzentrum. All rooms in the newly built ARCOTEL have a 40-inch flat-screen smart TV with Apple Airplay and Miracast, free WiFi access, air conditioning, twin beds, desk, shower and separate toilet.

Note: Tickets for public transport are required for the city tours.
