Free ski bus from Bad Goisern to Obertraun and back. You will receive your personal snowshoe equipment directly at the valley station of the Dachstein-Krippenstein cable car. Three marked and groomed snowshoe trails and winter hiking trails lead to the most beautiful and breathtaking vantage points in the Salzkammergut.
1. World Heritage Spiral – 360° all-round view of the surrounding mountains
Difficulty: easy, marked with poles and yellow signs (inscription Welterbespirale), pole spacing: 30 -40m, path length: 0.5 km, approx. 32 meters in altitude, duration: 45 minutes (there and back)
2. 5fingers - breathtaking viewing platform hanging 350 meters above the abyss Difficulty: easy, groomed with poles & marked with yellow signs (inscription Five Fingers), pole spacing 30-40m, path length: 1 km, approx. 120 meters in altitude, duration: 1 hour ( round trip)
3. Dachstein Shark – walkable, you can see the former seabed from the shark’s mouth, difficulty: easy to medium, marked with poles and yellow signs (inscription Dachstein-Hai), pole spacing 30-40m, path length: 3.4 km , approx. 220 meters in altitude, duration: 1.5 hours (there and back) ATTENTION: last descent at 4:40 p.m.
Gosau - various weekly, guided snowshoe and winter hikes
Guided snowshoe hike “Enjoy nature” – approx. EUR 48,- incl. cable car and rental equipment.
The almost two-hour tour begins with a trip to the middle station of the Panoramajetbahn. From here, the enjoyable winter hike takes you through the snow-covered winter landscape high above the Gosau valley to the Sommeraualm. The Hornspitzbahn takes you back down to the valley in a relaxed manner.

The four trails on the Predigstuhl are between 1,000 m and almost 1,200 m above sea level. Cross-country ski run in St. Agatha/Reithern: This sunny, easy-to-manage 2.5 km long cross-country ski run runs through four villages in Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt. It is mostly flat with no significant climbs or descents. Enjoy the view of the 2,000m high Krippenstein and the dreamlike, snow-covered, romantic church of St. Agatha.

Sonnenloipe: One of the easier tours is the 5 km long Sonnenloipe: Start and finish are at the sports center and initially lead to the right of the romantic Gosaubach. You glide gently past snow-covered treetops and peaks, right into the dreamlike Alpine panorama: pure moments of happiness.
Dorfloipe: With a length of 15km, the moderately difficult Dorfloipe is the longest tour in the Gosau valley. It is directly connected to many other cross-country trails in the Gosau Valley and also starts at the sports center. The breathtaking alpine panorama of Gosautal and Gosaukamm makes this tour an unforgettable nature experience.
