Location
The hut is located in the heart of the Loferer Alm, directly in the ski and hiking area. In summer, it can be reached by car (one toll fee applies). In winter, your car can be parked in the free parking lot in Lofer. The hut is accessible via the gondola and a 5-minute walk (350 m) from the mountain station. If necessary, the owner will transport your luggage directly from the valley station to the hut.
Distances
Lofer town is 7km away for shopping, the ski area is right in front of the hut, and the ski school with a childrens lift is just 300m away. Cross-country skiing trails are right in front of the hut, and hiking trails start from the hut. Two staffed huts are within walking distance. A playground is just 400m below in summer. The Loferer Alm offers wonderful refreshment in summer: two mountain lakes on the hut invite you to cool off! Loferer Almsee is 500m below. Tip: The waterfall path leads down to the mid-station of the cable car and offers 12 refreshing stops. You hike through shady forests and along roaring waterfalls, and if you are too tired, you can take the cable car back up to the hut! You can cycle to the Steinplatte and Winklmoosalm by mountain bike or e-bike! Climbing enthusiasts will find a true paradise of climbing routes of varying difficulty in the Salzburg Saalachtal. The Salzburg Festival City is 50km away.
Facilities
Ground floor: Cozy hut living room with a seating area and kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator, and freezer. The living room opens onto the sun terrace. A highchair is available. 1 double bedroom, bathroom with shower/WC, and storage room ideal for ski equipment or bicycles. Upper floor: 2 double bedrooms, 1 four-bed room with 2 double beds, games room with foosball, billiards, and darts. Basement: Relax in your own Finnish sauna or infrared cabin, shower/WC, and ski boot dryer. Also available: satellite TV, washing machine, and Wi-Fi. The hut has drinking water! Gas-fired heating and hot water are available. Outside, there is a seating area with a panoramic view and a grill. Smoking is prohibited inside.
Additional Costs
Local tax €1.80/person/night, mobility tax as of the 1st of May 2025 € 0,50/person older than 15/night, electricity €1/kWh, gas €10/m3, water €10/m3, wifi € 10,-, final cleaning €120. Luggage transport if required €40 per trip (arrival and departure are included in the rental price), security deposit €500.
