Location
The hut is in an absolutely idyllic location in the Styrian Sölktal, a side valley of the Ennstal. At the edge of the forest, by a stream, surrounded by meadows, forest and nature. There is a sparsely inhabited hut nearby, otherwise a secluded location. Here you can really relax, there is no internet and cell phone reception is limited until about 7km into the valley.
Distances
Next larger town Stein an der Enns in 20 km, managed alpine pasture Potzalm in 3 km. Hikes to Schwarzsee, partly managed alpine pastures directly from the hut. The area is wonderful for mountain biking! Tip for sporty people: From the hut along the Tuchmoarbach, up to Hohensee and over to St. Nikolai. There you change to the valley bus, which takes you back to Kleinsölktal. The 4 km long route from the hut to the valley station is relatively flat, but you can also go by car.
Facilities
The small hut has a large, cozy room with a seating area, a wood stove, an oven and 1 double bed. Well and running water are in front of the hut, lighting with kerosene lamps or candles, there is no electricity. Toilet with flushing water. In front of the hut there is a garden with seating and a barbecue area next to the stream.
Additional Costs
Local tourism tax currently EUR 2,50/person/night, garbage fee EUR 15,00/week, firewood EUR 30,00/week (in winter EUR 80,00/week), final cleaning EUR 65,00, pet EUR 15,00. Bed linen and towels can be rented for EUR 15,00/set.
