Location
The hut, with its own gazebo, is located 4.5 km above Frantschach/St. Gertraud, in a forest clearing, completely secluded at the end of a private road. Here you are surrounded by nature and can enjoy the peace and quiet.
Distances
The nearest town is Frantschach (4.5 km), the town of Wolfsberg with its historic old town (9 km). The Weinebene ski area is 20 km away. At an altitude of up to 1886 m, you will find an ideal area for skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing. There are 13 runs, and there is a dedicated ski school and practice lifts for children. Cross-country skiers enjoy 15 km of perfectly groomed, double-tracked trails! The touring options to Hebalm and Koraple are particularly interesting. The toboggan run on Weinebene is 20 km away! In summer, the St. Andrä swimming lake is 25 km away, Lake Klopeiner See (50 km), or Lake Wörthersee (80 km) are tempting (1 hour by car). Wolfsberg outdoor pool 12 km away. Walking trails start from the hut, and a small stream runs beneath the hut. The Lavanttal Valley offers more than 1,000 km of marked, family-friendly hiking trails and is considered a paradise for mountain bikers!
Facilities
Side entrance to the ground floor: here is a small kitchen with an electric stove, oven, wood-burning stove (central heating), refrigerator, and coffee machine. Access to the living room with a seating area and satellite TV. The modern bathroom has a shower/WC. First floor: 1 triple bedroom, 1 double bedroom with a terrace. Next to the hut is your private wellness hut with a sauna/infrared cabin, cold water shower, and relaxation room on the ground floor. Upstairs is a winter-proof gazebo with a large lounge. Here is your second living room and, in addition to a large table with a seating area, a wood-burning stove, electric stove, small refrigerator, and sink. The huge terrace in front with a grill is perfect for eating, sitting, chatting, and enjoying the view of the forest. We ask that you refrain from smoking in the hut!
