Lavanttal valley is a lovely place to spend your holiday, not only because of its mild climate. Lavanttal valley is one of the most charming valleys in south-eastern Austria, especially in spring when the fruit trees are blooming, or in June and July when the flowers turn the mountain pastures into a beautiful red carpet. Lavanttal valley is one of Austria's most popular hiking regions. Well-maintained and family-friendly hiking paths offer perfect relaxation amidst untouched nature. The region is also ideal for cycling. There is a total of 350 km marked family cycling trails and 540 km marked mountain biking routes. Villages in the Lavanttal valley: Reichenfels, Bad St. Leonhard, Preitenegg, Frantschach-St. Gertraud, Wolfsberg, St. Andrä, St. Paul, St. Georgen, Lavamünd. Holiday centre, 50 km north-east from Klagenfurt. In the resort: bar. Indoor aquatic centre, sauna.
