Enjoy the wonderful winter landscape, the clear air and the silence while walking and hiking! In winter you can find relaxation and rest at Lake Balaton and in the woods. For active vacationers there are numerous opportunities for sports and entertainment: when it snows and the lake is frozen, you can go ice skating and ice sailing, sledding and cross-country skiing, or fishing and cycling. Sports centre, bowling alley and squash courts are open all year round. The thermal baths in Hévíz, Zalakaros and Bükk are easily accessible by car. Other popular destinations are the district town of Veszprém and the Tihany Peninsula. You can reach Budapest by car in about an hour.
