Location
Built in 1750, the hut enjoys a wonderfully quiet, secluded location on a south-facing slope in a forest clearing with magnificent views. Accessible via a forest road above the village of Donnersbach in Styria, the access road ends directly at the hut.

The nearest town, Donnersbach, is 4 km away. Shops and restaurants are 4 km away. Donnersbach natural swimming lake with a lakeside restaurant is 5 km away. Putterersee with a beach cafe, diving platform, and fishing is 13 km away. Donnersbachwald swimming lake is 15 km away. Donnersbach is nestled between the peaks of the Lower Tauern. Whether leisurely hikes in the Donnersbach Valley, fresh mountain air at the Planneralm, or a family outing to the Riesneralm, Donnersbach is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The Klammsteig trail is 5 km away. The Klamm circular trail (4.7 km) or the Wasserschloss circular trail (11 km) start in 5 km. The Planneralm and Riesneralm ski areas are both 15 km away. Hiking and biking trails start directly from the hut; the region is ideal for ski tourers!

The cabin has a cozy living room with a seating area by the panoramic window on the ground floor, a kitchenette with a wood-burning stove, oven, electric stove, coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Satellite TV and radio are available. 1 double bedroom, shower, and toilet. Upper floor: 1 twin bedroom, 2 triple bedrooms. The converted attic is accessible from the outside and has a living room with a kitchen and balcony, 1 double bedroom, shower, and toilet. Wood-fired central heating, and a cool storage cellar. In front of the cabin, there is a sunny seating area with a panoramic view and a barbecue area. There is a hot tub in the garden for your use! Bring your own bed linen and towels. Next to the cabin is an empty stable and a small cottage. This cottage can be booked on request for an additional 2 people, including a living room, kitchen, and double room.
