To the most beautiful lakes in the Salzkammergut and SalzburgerLand, starting and ending in the Mozart City of Salzburg
This cycling tour is a particularly popular tip for culture lovers, as it highlights world-famous sites and the landscape of mountains and lakes. The classic starting point is the festival city of Salzburg. Salzburg's connection to the arts is remarkable, especially to music through the person of its famous son, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Old Town and other parts of Salzburg were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996. During the seven-day tour, you will encounter the diverse facets that make Salzburg and its surroundings so unique. On the way to Bad Ischl, the former summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Sisi, you will visit two lake gems of the Salzkammergut: Lake Mondsee and Lake Wolfgangsee. Immerse yourself in the summer retreat of the upper class of the imperial era and take the time to discover the region's gems.

General Information
The bike tours are not technically difficult; there are only a few climbs! However, some physical fitness and a willingness to endure are required, as are cycling gear such as closed-toe sneakers, a backpack, sun and rain protection, functional clothing, a jacket, and a sweater, etc. The routes are easily accessible with hybrid bikes – they mostly run on paved bike paths, with a few sections also on gravel roads and forest trails. If you'd like to spend a more leisurely day, you can of course cover part of the route by public transport such as a train or boat.
