The world-famous, natural Hévíz thermal lake is just 500 meters away—an easy walk. In summer, the water of Europe’s largest warm thermal lake reaches temperatures of 33–35°C, while in winter, the temperature does not drop below 22°C, depending on the weather.
The charming thermal resort of Hévíz is nestled among lovely vineyards in the rolling hills of western Hungary. The surrounding area offers numerous excursion destinations and is ideal for exploring by bicycle. Discover the region's cultural heritage, natural beauty, and culinary specialties. The Kis-Balaton nature reserve—home to diverse birdlife and water buffalo—is well worth a visit, as is the Balaton Uplands region with its gentle hills. Lake Balaton is approximately 10 km away.

In the Attila Restaurant—complete with a conservatory—you can enjoy regional and international delicacies, as well as the finest vegetarian specialties and wholesome "reform cuisine" dishes, all within a welcoming, family-friendly setting. Located in the heart of the hotel around an old plane tree, the atmospheric, light-filled Platán Café & Juice Bar features a terrace and serves fresh-pressed juices, cocktails, tea and coffee specialties, and homemade cakes and snacks. The Carolina Bar is the perfect spot to unwind in style with a cocktail at the end of the day. During the day, the Neptun Pool Bar in the pool area tempts guests with light wellness snacks and salads. A ballroom and two event rooms provide space for up to 300 people. The hotel’s own thermal bath and sauna complex offers pure relaxation, featuring 1,000 m² of water surface area distributed across three large bathing zones with a total of nine pools.
The impressive indoor pool (25 x 12.5 m) connects directly to one of Hungary’s finest outdoor leisure pools. Nestled within the hotel’s sunny garden, the year-round heated pool—equipped with massage jets, whirlpool sections, and bubble loungers—exudes a Mediterranean atmosphere, complemented by a sun terrace. Adjoining areas include a paddling pool with a water slide and a junior pool (summer only), ensuring fun for families with children. A wellness pool with massage jets offers additional relaxation. The hotel’s highlight is the luxurious, Roman-style thermal bath complex (for guests aged 14 and up), featuring two thermal water pools (34–36°C), two whirlpools, a relaxation room, and a Kneipp pool. The thermal pools are filled daily with fresh medicinal water from the hotel’s own Hévíz spring.
In addition to premium wellness services, the fully renovated sauna oasis features a Finnish sauna, aroma sauna, salt-infused infrared cabin, steam bath, tepidarium, ice chamber, and plunge pool, as well as a bio-sauna where swimwear is permitted—ideal for families.

For a fee: in the hotel's own beauty department with L'Oreal hairdresser you can choose from various types of massage and wellness programs or relax with classic beauty treatments. The treatments for natural and healthy beauty with organic sea algae and biotechnological cosmetic products not only ensure radiantly beautiful skin, but are also good for the soul. The treatments offered include dermato diagnostics with the latest equipment, mesotherapy, aromatherapy, Thalion treatments for body shaping, anti-aging treatments, classic, Far Eastern and aroma massages, lava stone massage, refreshing foot massage as well as Sensolite, Celluloderm and Vacustyling. Medical aesthetic treatments are also offered, which are carried out by an experienced specialist using the most modern technical means and carefully selected and high-quality active ingredients.

For a fee: the Hotel Carbona Thermal Spa combines time-honored tradition with modern methods, offering the ideal setting for sustainable health care and profound regeneration. A central component is the traditional Hévíz cure, based on the healing properties of the world-famous thermal water, which has provided relief from joint and spinal problems for centuries. Supervised by experienced physicians and therapists, each cure is individually tailored to your health condition. The program includes medical examinations, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, oxygen and cryotherapy, carbonic acid baths, sulfur and mud packs, and healing massages and baths. Modern procedures such as the Sensolite full-body treatment with polarized light and targeted movement therapies are also part of the program. The classic spa offering is rounded out by thalassotherapy with baths, peels and wraps, Ayurvedic treatments, drinking and fasting cures, and a variety of exercise and meditation programs.
