Between mountains and lakes, the village of SCHÖNLEITN in the heart of Carinthia offers unforgettable holiday experiences for families and active connoisseurs. The idyllic hotel village was built from wood that is over 400 years old and thus exudes a very special charm.
Whether swimming, hiking, mountain biking or golfing - the region around Lake Faaker See has a lot to offer. A special mountain sports highlight in the region is the Kanzianiberg. Here, in Carinthia's largest climbing area, you can explore over 300 climbing tours with state mountain guides from the Alpine School. You will find wonderful hiking trails, even without climbing, in the mountains of the Karawanken, the Carnic Alps, the Julian Alps and the Nockberge. The Aichwaldsee and the Faaker See invite you to water sports such as stand up paddling, canoeing, electric boats, rowing boats or pedal boats - always without a motor!
Facilities
The loving combination of tradition and modernity gives the village SCHÖNLEITN its special charm. In the car-free complex you will find a central reception, a cozy bar, the pension restaurant Dorfstadl, the à la carte restaurant Dorfwirt with Carinthian delicacies, a 24-hour self-service village shop and 4 seminar rooms with the latest technology. In the summer months, the large sunbathing lawn by the year-round heated outdoor pool with loungers and parasols is the ideal place to relax. There are free parking spaces in front of the facility. WiFi is available free of charge.
Payable on site: dog incl. dog equipment: EUR 15,- per night. Local tax approx. EUR 2.10 per person/night from the age of 17.
Apartments
The apartments and suites combine tradition with modernity and offer enough vacation space for families with up to 6 people. The 94 suites and apartments, divided into 25 lovingly restored Carinthian farmhouses, are equipped with shower/toilet, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, safe, fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette (electric stove, refrigerator, coffee machine with tabs, microwave, crockery ) and living/bedroom with a cozy dining area and 2 sofa beds and a wellness bag with bath towels. Rental bathrobes are available on request at the reception.
WX (2-4): 2-room apartment with no fear of heights, approx. 35m², double bedroom and living/sleeping area with 2 sofa beds.
SS (2-4): 2-room suite feather light, approx. 35m², bedroom with French double bed and single bed (bunk bed), living/bedroom with high-quality sofa bed, ultra-modern heat relaxation couch, rustic tiled stove (cannot be heated separately) and Balcony.
Apartment (2-6): 3-room apartment Felsenfest, approx. 55m², 2 bedrooms (1 x double bed, 1 x 2 single beds), living/sleeping area with 2 sofa beds.
SK (2-6): Cloudless 3-room suite, approx. 60m², 2 separate bedrooms (1 x double bed, 1 x 2 single beds), large living/bedroom with 2 sofa beds, rustic tiled stove (cannot be heated separately) and private sauna .
Initial set of linen (bed linen, towels) or 1 x weekly change of towels as well as electricity, heating and water included.
Meals
Optionally bookable breakfast or half board.
When booking half-board: rich breakfast buffet with organic corner and dinner with menu or buffet choice (depending on the number of guests).
Activities
Daily fitness, sports and guest program during the holiday periods and in the high season, extensive range of hiking options including guided hikes and equipment rental.

By prior arrangement during the holidays and in the high season from Monday to Friday BIBI's children's world with hourly diaper league for babies from 8 months to 2 years and all-day care in the children's club for children from 3 to 11 years - close to nature, active and varied, often evening program to 8 p.m., Mountainsplash youth club from 12-17 years, play and handicraft room with slide, cozy corner and play equipment suitable for children, environmental and cooking programmes, excursions into nature and adventure games, creative studio, baby equipment (cot, high chair, bottle warmer, baby monitor, baby bath tub ) on advance order and subject to availability.
