Location
Embedded in the atmospheric alleys of Vienna's 8th district Josefstadt, the charming 4* hotel forms a haven of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and is nevertheless located amidst the vibrant city. Well-known sights such as the town hall square, the parliament and the Volksgarten are practically on the doorstep. The MuseumsQuartier and the Mariahilfer Straße shopping area can be easily reached within 10-15 minutes on foot. The historic city center is also within walking distance or can be reached by public transport. Typical Viennese restaurants and coffee houses are located around the hotel. The tram stop for line 2 is about 150m away.
Hotel Josefshof is located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the Medical University of Vienna (MedUni Wien) on Währinger Straße 13 (Center of Anatomy), which is about a 20-minute walk. By public transport, it's about a 2-minute walk to the U2 subway station "Rathaus" and a short ride to Schottentor. From there, you can either take the tram directly to Währinger Straße or walk to the university in a few minutes. By car, the MedUni is about a 10-15 minute drive away; parking is available in nearby public parking garages, which are subject to a fee.
