Nestled amidst the rolling hills of the Prlekija region in northeastern Slovenia, Hotel Bioterme enjoys a peaceful setting close to nature. It is the first hotel in the region to be awarded the EU Ecolabel.
Surrounded by green hills and impressive scenery, the hotel offers the perfect backdrop for an idyllic holiday. The area is ideal for walking, hiking, cycling, and Nordic walking. Golf enthusiasts will find the nearest course approximately 20 km away. Excursions to nearby highlights are also well worth the trip, including Ptuj—Slovenia’s oldest town (22 km)—the Jeruzalem Wine Route (18 km), and Ljutomer (13 km), a town famous for its summer harness racing.

Hotel Bioterme offers a unique, eco-friendly experience, featuring its own dedicated energy plant. The interiors, crafted from natural materials, provide ample space for relaxation and unwinding, while gentle organic paints—free from harmful additives—enhance the feel-good atmosphere.
As part of the half-board package, the hotel restaurant serves a selection of regional and international cuisine, including healthy dishes made from organic ingredients. The à la carte restaurant offers an elegant setting where guests can enjoy culinary delights drawn from traditional Slovenian and Mediterranean cooking. During the warmer months, a large sun terrace invites you to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Additional facilities include a lounge area with a cozy bar, a self-service restaurant within the thermal park complex, and various conference and multi-purpose rooms for events. The hotel features an elevator, free covered on-site parking, and an EV charging station (for a fee). Wi-Fi is available free of charge. Pets are not permitted.

Rooms
You will feel at ease from day one in the hotel’s 73 “healthy” rooms and suites. The furnishings feature solid wood and natural materials. Special switches prevent electrosmog, and the walls are painted with organic paints free from harmful additives. All rooms also include a bathroom with a bathtub or shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe (on loan), air conditioning, telephone, flat-screen TV, safe, minibar, and Wi-Fi; some also feature a balcony.

Wellness
The hotel's thermal outdoor pool on the first floor of the hotel with a 100m² water surface, indoor entrance, water loungers and massage bath is exclusively available to you during the summer months. You can relax on the sun terrace with a nudist corner.
Thermal Bath
The hotel is directly connected to the thermal park via a connecting walkway, and the park is available for your use throughout your stay, including on your days of arrival and departure.
A special feature of Bioterme is its thermal mineral water; thanks to its balneological properties, it is suitable for both recreational and professional athletes as well as for medical purposes, as it has a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal system and the spine.
The bathing area features approximately 2,000 m² of water surface, comprising five outdoor and five indoor pools with water temperatures ranging from 30°C to 36°C; these include swimming pools, massage pools, relaxation pools, children's pools, and a wild water channel. During the winter season, one or two outdoor pools and all indoor pools remain open. Guests can enjoy wonderful relaxation in the quiet zones, on the sun terrace, or on the sunbathing lawn in the shade of the trees.
The sauna area—featuring indoor and outdoor saunas, a herbal sauna, an infrared cabin, and a steam bath—is available for complimentary use every other day (access on the day of departure is subject to an additional fee).
Spa Treatments
For a fee: professional massages and cosmetic treatments are offered in the wellness center. Hot stone massages, classic full-body massages with essential oils, partial massages, anti-stress massages, therapeutic massages, foot massages or body peelings allow you to gather new energy for everyday life. The range is complemented by classic beauty treatments, manicures and pedicures as well as a comprehensive range of Ayurveda treatments such as Byangam (Ayurvedic full-body massage), Shiro Abhyangam (head massage), yoga and meditation. Enjoy time together with a harmony bath for two or a couples treatment.
