The extraordinary Heritage.Hotel Hallstatt is located between the mountain and the lake, in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hallstatt. Hallstatt is world famous - and of course has a lot to offer, including the "Hallstatt World Heritage Museum" with its cultural treasures from 7,000 years of history and the ossuary in the Michaelskapelle. The imperial town of Bad Ischl and the saltwater bath in Bad Aussee can be reached within just 20 minutes by car.
Facilities
Heritage.Hotel Hallstatt combines three historic townhouses to create a unique hotel experience. The main building, *Kainz*, is located right by the boat landing and features the reception, a breakfast area, and the *Seeauer* restaurant. This à la carte restaurant—complete with a small bar and a terrace overlooking the lake—is a popular meeting spot for locals and guests alike. Here, you can enjoy excellent Austrian classics and regional delicacies from the Salzkammergut, as well as specialty coffees, teas, and delightful desserts. The historic, castle-like *Stocker* building—Hallstatt’s oldest house, dating back over 400 years—is situated about a 3-minute walk from the main building and offers a romantic, cozy atmosphere and a small front garden. The *Seethaler* building is approximately a 5-minute walk from the main building; thanks to its slightly elevated hillside location, it offers stunning lake views. Bathrobes and umbrellas are available for loan at reception. Wi-Fi is complimentary in all buildings. Please note that the *Stocker* and *Seethaler* buildings do not have elevators.
Payable locally: Public parking lot P1 with shuttle service upon arrival and departure (running every half hour between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM): €20 per 24 hours. Dogs on request: €21 per night (not permitted on the P1 shuttle or in the restaurant). Local tourist tax: €4 per person/night (ages 15 and up).
Rooms
The 55 individually furnished rooms feature a bathroom with a bathtub and/or shower, toilet, hairdryer, and L’Occitane toiletries. Amenities include a telephone, IP-TV (Netflix), safe, minibar, Wi-Fi, Nespresso machine (with capsules), and tea service; some rooms also offer a balcony and lake views. As the buildings are protected historical monuments, no two rooms are alike—each one charms guests with its own unique history. DS (2-2): Standard Double Room without balcony, 18–22 m²; market view in Haus Kainz, or limited lake view in the other buildings.
DD (2-3): Deluxe Double Room, 22–26 m²; lake view in Haus Kainz, or balcony and (limited) lake view in the other buildings.
DU (2-3): Superior Double Room, 23–40 m²; lake view and balcony or lake view and small terrace with garden in Haus Kainz, as well as lake view and terrace in Haus Seethaler.
SF (2-4): Standard Family Suite in Haus Stocker without balcony, approx. 40 m²; features a bedroom, living room with pull-out sofa, and market view.
JS (2-4): Junior Suite, 45–55 m²; lake view and balcony in Haus Kainz, or separate bedroom and living room with pull-out sofa and balcony with lake view in the other buildings.
DX (1-1): Superior Room for single occupancy.
Room allocation across the various buildings is at the hotel's discretion.

Winter fun
2 ski areas, the Freesports Arena Krippenstein in Obertraun (5km) and the Dachstein West family ski area (20km), can be reached within a very short time with the free ski bus. A ski bus stop is about 1 km from the hotel.
While the Freesport Arena Krippenstein offers the longest run in Austria with around 11km and 30km of off-piste variants, the Dachstein West ski area welcomes you with a total of 142 perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes in a wide variety of difficulty levels.
Whether cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, a long winter walk or a romantic sleigh ride, not only a unique winter landscape awaits you around Hallstatt, but you will also encounter numerous cultural monuments.
