Nestled amidst the rolling hills of the Prlekija region in northeastern Slovenia, Hotel Bioterme & Glamping Sun Valley enjoys a peaceful setting close to nature.
Surrounded by green hills and impressive scenery, it offers the perfect backdrop for an idyllic holiday. The area is ideal for walking, hiking, cycling, and Nordic walking. Golf enthusiasts will find the nearest course approximately 20 km away. Excursions to the following highlights are also well worth the trip: Ptuj, Slovenia’s oldest town (22 km); the Jeruzalem Wine Road (18 km); and Ljutomer (13 km), famous for its summer harness racing.
Facilities
Unique and eco-friendly—that is the Hotel Bioterme, the region's only sustainably built hotel. It places great importance on environmental protection and operates its own energy plant. The interiors, crafted from natural materials, offer plenty of space to relax and unwind, while gentle organic paints—free from harmful additives—enhance the feel-good atmosphere.
As part of the half-board package, the hotel restaurant offers a selection of regional and international cuisine, including healthy dishes made from organic ingredients. The à la carte restaurant welcomes guests into an elegant setting to enjoy culinary delights drawn from traditional Slovenian and Mediterranean cuisine. Additional facilities include a lounge area with a 24-hour reception and a cozy bar, a self-service restaurant in the thermal park, and several conference and multi-purpose rooms for events. Glamping Sun Valley also features a natural swimming pond, which serves as a popular gathering spot during the summer months. An elevator, free covered on-site parking, and an EV charging station (for a fee) are available. Wi-Fi is free of charge. Pets are not permitted.

Mobile homes
Nestled in unspoiled nature and far removed from the hustle and bustle of daily life, the glamping (glamorous camping) units are a highlight of the resort. This unique concept combines high-quality camping and total privacy with the comforts of a 4-star hotel.
Guests can choose from 22 glamping villas featuring a living room, bedroom, well-equipped kitchen, bathroom (with shower/WC, hairdryer, and loaner bathrobe), air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, and a terrace with garden furniture. Villas featuring a private wooden bathtub on the terrace—filled with thermal water—are available upon request for an additional fee.
The 11 glamping tents are open from April to October and feature an open-plan living/sleeping area with a kitchenette and dining nook; some include an upper-level sleeping area (accessible via a ladder). Amenities include a bathroom (with shower/WC, hairdryer, and loaner bathrobe), air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, and a furnished terrace. Please note that the glamping units do not offer wheelchair-accessible access.

Wellness
The hotel's own outdoor thermal pool—located on the first floor and featuring 100 m² of water surface area, indoor access, underwater loungers, and massage jets—is available exclusively to you during the summer months. You can also relax on the sun terrace, which includes a dedicated area for nudists.
Thermal Bath
The hotel is directly connected to the thermal park via a connecting walkway, and the park is available for your use throughout your stay, including on your days of arrival and departure.
A special feature of Bioterme is its thermal mineral water; thanks to its balneological properties, it is suitable for both recreational and professional athletes as well as for medical purposes, as it has a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal system and the spine.
The bathing area features approximately 2,000 m² of water surface, comprising five outdoor and five indoor pools with water temperatures ranging from 30°C to 36°C; these include swimming pools, massage pools, relaxation pools, children's pools, and a wild water channel. During the winter season, one or two outdoor pools and all indoor pools remain open. Guests can enjoy wonderful relaxation in the quiet zones, on the sun terrace, or on the sunbathing lawn in the shade of the trees.
The sauna area—featuring indoor and outdoor saunas, a herbal sauna, an infrared cabin, and a steam bath—is available for complimentary use every other day (access on the day of departure is subject to an additional fee).
Spa Treatments
For an additional fee, the wellness center offers professional massages and beauty treatments. Options such as hot stone massages, classic full-body massages with essential oils, targeted massages, anti-stress massages, therapeutic massages, foot massages, and body scrubs allow you to recharge for daily life. The range of services is complemented by classic beauty treatments, manicures, and pedicures, as well as a comprehensive selection of Ayurvedic therapies—including Abhyanga (full-body massage) and Shiro Abhyanga (head massage)—along with yoga and meditation. Enjoy quality time together with a harmony bath for two or a couples' treatment.
