The quiet location on the outskirts offers a wonderful view of wide meadows, dense forests and the typical Mühlviertel hilly landscape. Not far from the Czech border, the Bohemian Forest also invites you to take varied hikes through pristine nature.
In the border triangle of Austria, the Czech Republic and Bavaria, the Mühlviertel offers a variety of cultural and scenic highlights. Discover traditional show businesses and museums or hike in the footsteps of the country's legends through the landscape characterized by high forest and rolling hills. Numerous hiking trails around the Sternstein and the moor start right in front of the hotel. Trips to Linz or Freistadt as well as visits to the Lebzelterei Kastner or the Freistadt brewery are also possible. The Mühlviertel St. Oswald-Freistadt Golf Club is approx. 26 km away.

The recently renovated, adults-only 4* superior hotel combines modern design with the natural atmosphere of the Mühlviertel region. Full board plus: rich breakfast buffet until 10:30 a.m. featuring regional and organic products; light lunch buffet from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a salad station, a small selection of cold cuts, two hot dishes, and a daily changing soup and dessert station; in the evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., a varied and delicious dinner buffet with live cooking stations and regional and international specialties. A comprehensive selection of beverages (mineral water, homemade lemonade, juices, soft drinks, red and white wines from renowned vintners, beer, sparkling wines, coffee, and tea) is included with meals.
The food is prepared with a focus on healthy, wholesome ingredients while respecting regional traditions – true to the principles of Slow Balance Food. Individual dietary requirements, such as vegan diets or food intolerances of any kind, are gladly accommodated upon advance notice.
