The Falkensteiner Hotel Sonnenalpe is the ideal starting point for an active summer holiday in the Alps. At an altitude of around 1,500m, you can set off directly from the hotel into the breathtaking natural landscape of the Nassfeld. Over 1,000km of marked hiking trails wind through the mountains between the Gailtal and Carnic Alps, offering panoramic tours for all levels. Cyclists will also find plenty to enjoy: 46 mountain bike and e-bike routes, including singletrack and flow trails, offer a variety of options. Thanks to the summer lifts, you can easily reach high-alpine starting points. Besides hiking and biking, there are also via ferratas, rafting, and relaxing excursions to lakes like Lake Pressegger.

Alpine tradition meets Mediterranean lightness: In the designer Restaurant Sonnenalpe, with its various dining rooms, you can enjoy delicious Carinthian cuisine combined with popular Italian dishes. A cozy atmosphere and a diverse selection of drinks await you at any time of day at the spacious Gioia Bar. Sample fine wines and spirits that perfectly complement your Mediterranean-Alpine dinner. The hotel also offers several elevators and free on-site parking, subject to availability. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.

Falkensteiner All Inclusive: A generous breakfast buffet featuring high-quality, partly regionally sourced and organic products, as well as gluten-free and lactose-free options; a light lunch snack from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.; afternoon tea at the bar from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.; and daily changing themed buffets in the evenings, featuring Alpine-Mediterranean cuisine with live cooking stations. Selected beverages (wine, beer, and soft drinks) from the buffet are included with lunch and dinner, as is a selection at the hotel bar until 11:00 p.m.

Recharge in the sauna area, featuring a panoramic Finnish sauna with an ice fountain and guided sauna infusions, a bio sauna, a steam room, and several relaxation areas.
For a fee: body and facial treatments, massages, baths and wraps, and couples' treatments.
Children
Daily childcare is available from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the 400 m² Falky-Almland children's paradise for children aged 3-12. This includes soft drinks during opening hours, an indoor soft play area, the Falky climbing wall, an indoor playground and Playmobil corner, Falky's Children's SPA with a baby pool and family sauna, and a children's buffet with special baby food in the evenings. Baby equipment is available upon request and subject to availability.
Holiday with your Dog
Dogs are welcome guests at the Falkensteiner Hotel Sonnenalpe. Upon arrival, your furry friend will receive an arrival package with treats and a chew bone. A dog blanket, towel, food bowl, and bandana are provided in your room for your four-legged companion. The reception staff will be happy to provide tips for walks. For a fee: dog walking service and dog supplies in the shop.
