Situated at an altitude of 1,000 meters in a unique, secluded location between Tyrol’s Lake Achensee and the impressive Karwendel and Rofan mountain ranges, DAS KRONTHALER blends nature, design, and the joy of living into a truly special experience. This adults-only hotel is a sanctuary for those who wish to live mindfully, recharge their energy, and reconnect with themselves. Clean architectural lines, curated art, and warm materials create an atmosphere where aesthetics and nature exist in perfect harmony—resulting in a place that offers a sense of spaciousness, inspires the spirit, and leaves a lasting impression.
Culinary delights await at the hotel’s restaurant, featuring regional ingredients, modern Alpine cuisine, and creative vegetarian and vegan dishes—ranging from a wholesome breakfast to fine evening dining. The "ZeitLOS 989" bar is the perfect spot to enjoy music and creative drinks. At the "HimmelNAH 999" bar, complete with a panoramic terrace, the focus is on exquisite beverages and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel’s own "LustBOXX" shopping area, a heated and secure ski depot, lift access, complimentary parking (subject to availability), and an electric car charging station (fee applies) round out the amenities. The 99 spacious and individually designed rooms in a modern Alpine style offer plenty of room to relax, a bathroom with bathtub or shower, separate WC, hairdryer, complimentary bathrobe and slippers, flat-screen TV, safe, minibar, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace, as well as a desk and open wardrobe space. Equipped with handcrafted eco-box beds, floor-to-ceiling windows, and high-quality materials, they meet the highest standards.

Whether it’s ski-in/ski-out access, cross-country skiing, or winter hiking, nature is right on your doorstep. A varied activity program—including yoga and Pilates led by experienced wellness coaches—combines movement with mindfulness (some activities available for an additional fee). The light-filled cardio fitness room offers space for individual workouts. Guided ski tours are available upon request. Sleds and snowshoes are available for rent.

Winter fun
Whether you're a nature lover, a romantic, or a winter sports enthusiast, you'll be captivated by the many facets of winter at Lake Achensee. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts will find a private access point to the Achenkirch local trail right behind the hotel, connecting to the approximately 200km network of trails. Three ski areas with over 58 kilometers of varied slopes and 30 lifts await you around Lake Achensee. Discover the Christlum lifts in Achenkirch – right next to the hotel with exclusive ski-in/ski-out access – the Rofan cable car in Maurach, and the Karwendel cable car in Pertisau. A ski school and ski rental shop with ski service are located directly in the hotel. Ski pass service is available at the LustBOXX.
Of course, you can also explore the winter landscape on marked and cleared hiking trails or on a snowshoe tour. The 3.5km toboggan run in the Christlum ski area winds through the romantic forest and is illuminated every Wednesday.
