Heiligenkreuz Abbey is idyllically nestled in the heart of the southern Vienna Woods. Experience a piece of Austrian history and immerse yourself in the life of the monks when you visit the impressive abbey church on a guided tour or stroll through the Romanesque-Gothic cloister. Only 3km away is the Karmel Mayerling hunting lodge.

During a guided tour you will learn more about the former hunting lodge of Crown Prince Rudolf and the original scene of the 1889 tragedy. Continue to Gumpoldskirchen, where you will taste 5 different wines during an informative cellar tour and enjoy Heurigen delicacies ending the tour.
