Programme:

The Danube shows its most picturesque side: From Melk via Dürnstein to Krems, the river has dug deep into the rock and thus created the Wachau - an enchanting valley with a mild climate, from which man has gradually formed a unique cultural landscape. The Wachau has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000.

Start your day in the Wachau with a visit to Melk Abbey with its baroque complex. The Benedictine monastery in Melk is one of the most famous buildings and perhaps the most beautiful baroque building in the country and has long been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It sits enthroned in a picture-book setting above the right bank of the Danube.

The monastery as a lively place with almost 1000 years of tradition is the focus of the monastery tour. State rooms such as the marble hall, the collegiate library and, as a highlight, the collegiate church make it possible to experience the Baroque era in an impressive way on a tour. From the balcony there is a wonderful view of the city of Melk and the Danube landscape.

Afterwards, a lunch menu awaits you in the stylish ambience of the Melk Abbey Restaurant.

After lunch we take the boat from Melk to Spitz. The Danube ships offer a magnificent view of vineyard terraces, fortified churches, valuable cultural assets and small villages. Your comfort bus awaits you in Spitz an der Donau and takes you along the Danube, past the well-known towns of Dürnstein and Weißenkirchen to Krems, to the winery of Winzer Krems. SANDGRUBE 13. wine.sense. leads you in 8 stations on the traces of the noble grape juice. Immerse yourself in the fascination of Krems wine and learn more about its history, its culture - and especially its taste.

The tour is rounded off by a tasting of three wine samples including a pastry.
