Nature, (sweet) enjoyment and interesting facts combine on this tour to create a unique experience.
In the morning you will visit Herberstein in Eastern Styria with its romantic castle, historic gardens and fascinating animal world. In 2023 the SHOWING STYRIA will take place here. Under the title "Diversity of Life", the SHOWING STYRIA 2023 focuses on the preservation of species and habitat diversity as well as measures against climate change. In addition to five stations in the Herberstein animal world and the Feistritzklamm, which are architecturally integrated into the landscape, the mobile pavilion on the subject of climate change is also a central component.
In the "House of Biodiversity" many hands-on stations invite you to experience the wonders of natural diversity. The exhibition shows the role that humans play in the ecosystem, raises awareness of important services in intact natural cycles and encourages people to reflect on their own actions and learn about alternative design options. Afterwards, enjoy a 3-course meal in a regional inn.
The afternoon is all about enjoyment. You will visit the Zotter chocolate factory in the Styrian volcanic region and experience how chocolate is made. Over 500 different chocolates await you. On your individual adventure tour, you can independently explore the chocolate factory with an audio guide. At tasting stations such as the chocolate robot, which serves delicious organic fruit, bubbling nougat fountains and hip varieties with sugar alternatives, you can indulge in sweet treats here. The edible zoo also invites you to animal entertainment and relaxation.
At the end of the day, enjoy a home platter with hearty Styrian specialties in a tavern at the foot of the Riegersburg.
