Embedded in the impressive mountain landscape of East Tyrol, the car-free Gradonna **** Superior Hotel Resort makes every athlete's heart beat faster. The alpine lifestyle resort in timber construction is nestled on the slope above the village of Kals - with a panoramic view of the Großglockner, the highest mountain in Austria and is located at the gateway to the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Kals is a meeting point for all those who want to enjoy nature in its original form. Rural customs and village culture are very important here. Kals am Großglockner is characterized by 250km of the most beautiful and well-marked walking and hiking trails and almost unlimited possibilities for alpine summit tours. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the Nature Watch tours, where national park rangers will take you to particularly interesting places where you can make unique wildlife observations with binoculars.
Facilities
The sustainably built and certified, car-free resort with its own water source and energy supply is perfectly integrated into the natural environment. Outside and inside are not a contradiction here, because natural materials and colors characterize the rooms down to the last detail.
The Gradonna restaurant with panoramic views for your gourmet board spoils you with modern, light cuisine at toque level. East Tyrolean specialties paired with Mediterranean influences - here old recipes are interpreted in a new and tasty way! In the spacious bar with a partially covered terrace you can end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere. You will find the right tipple in the wine cellar with Austrian, but also international wines. The 500m² natural swimming pond with a jetty and sunbathing lawn in the garden invites you to linger and relax.
The hotel also has the "East Tyrolean delicatessen" with regional and homemade delicacies, souvenirs, newspapers and hygiene products, a sports shop with equipment rental and a small hotel library. There is a lift, one free underground parking space per room and an e-charging station for electric cars (fees apply). WiFi is free throughout the hotel.

Bike
The Gradonna Resort is the perfect starting point for mountain bike and bicycle tours. There are numerous single trails and mountain bike trails in the region. A special highlight is the view of the Grossglockner while the trails are rapidly going downhill.
Start the day with a hearty athlete's breakfast before exploring the area on your bike. The resort has a lockable bike room, a washing area with a hose and brushes, bike racks and an information corner with bike/bike maps of the region, weather information, timetables and opening times for public transport and cable cars, specialist magazines and a list of bike schools and guides.
Wellness
Gradonna Mountain Spa features an indoor and heated outdoor pool with a whirlpool area, a new heated infinity pool (21 x 6 m) with an adults-only sunbathing area, a comprehensive sauna area with Finnish saunas, aroma steam rooms, infrared cabins, a brine steam room, a sauna pool, a meditation room, and spacious relaxation areas with waterbeds, as well as a separate family area with a children's pool, a small slide, and a family sauna (textile required).
Available for a fee: massages, wellness treatments, beauty treatments, and a hairdresser.

6 x weekly from Monday-Saturday Gradonna Nature Children's Club from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. from 3 years, teen program for kids from 12 years with a daily program item, playroom, own children's restaurant with children's buffet.
