Madame Butterfly - Windhym Martinspark Dornbirn

The dramatic opera is about the Japanese geisha Butterfly, who hopes for a better life, and the American naval lieutenant Pinkerton, who never considered a serious marriage. However, Butterfly genuinely loves Pinkerton and has a child by him. She waits in vain for years for her lieutenant to return. When Pinkerton then returns with his new American wife to pick up the child, Butterfly makes an irreversible decision. The famous aria "Un bel dì vedremo" hits the heart.
