Description of the place Badacsonytomaj:
Badacsony, composed of several sub-places, is one of the most famous places on Lake Balaton. The 438 m high Badacsonyberg towering over the town, an impressive natural monument, is a rugged basalt rock of volcanic origin that rises like a mighty pillar from the surroundings. The Badacsonyberg is a popular hiking area, but the paths are mostly steep. However, the wonderful panoramic view quickly makes you forget the exertion. Villas, wine presses and extensive vineyards with the most exquisite grape varieties at Lake Balaton as well as extensive orchards are located on its slopes. The sports/leisure time offer includes: 3 lidos (dogs are not allowed; admission: adults approx. €2.40 per day, children approx. €1.50 per day, as of 2018), each with a children’s playground. 2 tennis courts. bike rental. Boat trips are offered from the port. Good starting point for tours along the Balaton Cycle Path. Horseback riding excursions in the area. Bars, numerous shops, several good restaurants. The Badacsony Wine Week takes place at the end of July. On the 1st weekend in September there is a big winegrowers' festival with a hearty party and parade.

Tennis, 18-hole golf course in Balatonudvari 25 km. Ride. Fishing (with permit). Summer toboggan run in Balatonfuzfo 7 km. Bike lanes, bike rental. children's playground. All equipped grass beaches on Lake Balaton can be used for a fee, but there are also several non-equipped beaches that are free. More possibilities for sports in 15 km in Balatonfüred: water skiing and wakeboarding, sailing school, sports center. The "Annagora Aquapark" in Balatonfüred offers entertainment for the whole family: swimming pools, water slides, café, cocktail bar, in winter wellness area with sauna and steam bath. In the "Annagora Shopping Center" in Balatonfüred there are shops, restaurants, bars and discos. There is a well-developed cycle path around Lake Balaton. The "wine festivals" in Balatonalmadi and in Balatonfüred in August are also definitely worth a visit!
